Port Warwick Landscape Committee
The committee is composed of two sub-committees, beautification and enforcement.
The beautification sub-committee is concerned with improvements to the current landscape plan. We propose projects and supply sweat equity in the completion of those projects. The enforcement sub-committee ensures that landscape and irrigation contracts are performed as written and to the satisfaction of the community.
The committee meets at the Conservancy Office. Meetings are usually (but not always) on the third Wednesday of the month at 7PM. All residents are invited to attend meetings and/or join the committee. The Conservancy Office is located at 191 Walt Whitman (across from the Arbors).
Some of our current concerns include:
- Performance of the current Landscape contractor
- Beautification of the Upper BMP (behind the Turner Bldg)
- Replacement of Sycamore/London Plains trees along Herman Melville and Walt Whitman
- Ideas on how to beautify the area behind HM between the alley and the Railway sound walls)
